Workshop Chair: I. Sanakis
Magnetism and Superconductivity form two closely related phenomena of matter which are based on the spin, charge and orbit of electrons, one of the fundamental constituents of matter. Scientific Research elucidates the physical laws that govern the related phenomena from the nanoscale to the macroscale, leading to the technological developments which improve everyday life. Society has witnessed impressive progress in the field over recent years. The achievements have transformed applications creating novel motors, sound systems, data storage devices, and medical devices which are far advanced from those of two decades ago. And the search continues: the workshop will discuss the state of the art in the field, focusing on selected hot topics of current research.
