Short Bio

Senior Researcher: Physicist with postgraduate studies in solid state physics. He received his PhD in 1999 from the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences, of NTUA, GR. At The period of 1999 – 2001 worked as researcher in the Research and Development department at Bic Violex S.A., in Athens. For the period 2001 – 2007 was research associate at Institute of Materials Science of NCSR “Demokritos”. From 2007 until December 2016 was a research officer at Institute of Materials Science now Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, of NCSR “Demokritos”. From December 2016 until today is a senior researcher at Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, of NCSR “Demokritos”. His research interest is experimental solid state physics and materials science and in particular:

Thin films, nanostructured magnetic materials, hard magnets for MEMS, magnetostrictive materials, exchange bias phenomena, device physics, materials for space applications, L10 – FePt magnetic thin films for ultrahigh recording media and Galvanomagnetic effects in 2D materials.

His published research work in international journals is 90 works with h-index 16 (source: Google Scholar).
