Demokritos, the largest multidisciplinary Research Centre in Greece, after more than fifty years of contribution to the research community and significant collaborations with industries around the world for the development of innovative technological advancements, takes the initiative of organizing a Special Session of the 6th Hellenic Forum focused on the skills required and the funding and investment opportunities available towards innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
Taking into consideration the tough, competitive conditions imposed by globalization, young people today have considerably more chances to succeed by becoming job creators rather than job seekers. We take aim at widening the horizons of students and young scientists on what does it mean to become an entrepreneur who will take the chance of developing an idea and getting it off the ground.
This Special Session, combining two Deep Dive Master Classes, has the ambition, except from exposing the requirements towards this direction, to provide the necessary tools in order to enhance self-employment opportunities.
The last day of Hellenic Forum focusing in nurturing entrepreneurs will correlate the two -weeks summer school training young people in R&D skills and the three day international conference of Hellenic Forum aiming in innovation, excellence and business development.
