Ex Prof. Takis Varelas Majored in chemistry, information science, operation research and management science he spent 35 years in managerial and research positions in leading information and shipping companies. Professor in Technical University of Crete (1985-1996), author of 60+ papers and participant in 20+ EU research projects.
He was awarded with the highest worldwide distinction in OR by INFORMS in 2012. He holds a B.Sc in chemistry from University of Athens and an M.Sc and Ph.D in datametrics from University of SA. He is the first of the first in the Panhellenic entrance examinations in 1968.
