Short Bio

Dr. George Tzamalis holds a diploma and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Currently, he is a research associate at Hystore Technologies Ltd. He has experience in RES and hydrogen technologies integration to hybrid power systems. He has also experience in modelling, simulation and optimization of different hydrogen production, storage and re-electrification technologies including hydrogen production through electrolysis, metal hydrides and PEM fuel cells. He was a research collaborator at National Centre for Scientific Research Demokritos (NCSRD, Greece) from 2014 to 2016 and at Center for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (CRES, Greece) from 2006 to 2013. He gained experience in Techno-economic and sensitivity analysis of RES and hydrogen technologies integration in transport sector and in hybrid RES – energy storage power systems. He participated in National and European projects and he has over 15 publications related to hydrogen, hydrogen technologies and techno-economic analysis of hybrid power systems integrating hydrogen technologies as energy storage medium.Dr. George Tzamalis holds a diploma and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
