Prof. Dimitris Askounis Dimitris Askounis is Professor of Management Information and Decision Support Systems in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He has been involved in numerous ICT research projects funded by the EU since 1988 (Horizon2020, FP7, CIP, FP6, FP5, ESPRIT, BRITE-EURAM) in the thematic areas of eGovernance (SONNETS, CROSSROAD, COCKPIT, LEXIS, FEED), eBusiness (GENESIS), big data (BigDataOcean, Aegis) factories of the future and interoperability (IMAGINE, GIC, PLUGIN, webinos), decision support, knowledge management, quality management, etc. He has published over 150 papers in scientific journals and international conference proceedings.
