Dr. Sotirios Kakabakos Dr Sotirios Kakabakos obtained his B.Sc. in Pharmacy from the University of Athens, in 1980 and his Ph.D. in Pharmacy from the University of Patras in 1989. In 1990-91 he was a Post-doctoral fellow in the Clinical Biochemistry Department of the Medical School at the University of Toronto. In 1992 he joined INRASTES, where he holds the position of the Director of Research, on the development and evaluation of advanced immunoassay technologies focusing mainly on optical immunosensors. He was/is scientific responsible of 12 national, EU, and international projects. He is author/co-author of 90 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and of more than 100 communications in international conferences. He also holds 15 national, international and European patents.
