Dr Grigorios Zisis Dr Grigorios Zisis obtained his B.Sc. degree in Material Science from the University of Patras in 2011. In January 2016, he obtained his Ph.D. from the Optoelectronics Research Center (ORC) of the University of Southampton for his work on laser-assisted domain engineering, waveguide fabrication, and micro-structuring of lithium niobate. Subsequently, he joined Thetametrisis S.A. as a senior optical engineer, and a year afterwards, he joined the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (INN) of NCSR “Demokritos” after awarded with a “Stavros Niarchos Foundation Industrial Postdoctoral Fellowship” for the development of a novel optical approach for the precise characterization of 2D materials. This industrial postdoctoral fellowship, entitled as “Accurate Thickness and Refractive Index Mapping of 2D materials by Reflectance Spectroscopy and Imaging Techniques” is a corporation between NCSR “Demokritos” and Thetametrisis S.A."
