Dr Afroditi Chioti Afroditi G. Chioti graduated from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of Democritus University of Thrace in 2011. In 2016 she obtained her Master of Science degree in Applied Genetics and Biotechnology from Department of Biology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 2017, she is working on her PhD on photocatalysis in anaerobic digestion systems. She has completed two courses, one in a Genetics laboratory where she specialized in PCR, Elisa and nucleic acid isolation techniques, the other in the QLAB analysis laboratory where she was trained in microbial and quality control processes. She has experience in the use of bioinformatics tools and management of laboratory animals. She has occupied for three years as a medical writer / research coordinator and two years in education sector. She has been distinguished by participating in pan-European and national conferences and has publications in scientific journals. She participates as a researcher in the NH3END project in the context of RESEARCH-CREATE-INNOVATE, EPAnEK, NSRF 2014-2020.
