Mrs Klara Zalatnai Hungarian Osteoporosis Patient Association (HOPA) is a non profit, non governmental umbrella organisation including groups operating at various places in the country: patient clubs, lifestyle clubs, associations, self support groups (26).
Our vision is the world without osteoporotic fractures and improved quality of life of elderly people and our mission is to increase awareness and understanding of osteoporosis to promote prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease. The goals of association are to nurture and enlarge the network of support groups in the country and expand our partnership working on similar or complementary issues and projects.
