Dr Panagiota Petrou obtained her B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Athens in 1993 and 2000, respectively. From 2000 to 2001, she was a Post-doctoral fellow in the Institute of Microsystems Technology of Albert-Ludwig University of Freiburg. At the end of 2002, she joined INRASTES where currently holds a Director of Research position. Her activities include development of advanced bioanalytical microsystems, protein and DNA arrays, modification of surfaces with self-assembled monolayers, etc. She has participated in 14 national and EU projects. She is author/co-author of 67 papers in international Journals and of more than 90 conference communications and holds 13 Greek and international patents.
