Phd. Candidate Kleopatra Alamantariotou Kleopatra Alamantariotou was born in Larissa Greece. She studied the art of Midwifery in Athens Greece. She graduate from City University of London, UK obtains an Msc in Health informatics in 2008. She received another Msc from Middlesex University in Midwifery in 2007. She is a PhD in Trinity College Dublin in Innovation health and mobile application. She is leading and participating in many European Projects in innovative knowledge transfer, also she is founder and CEO of Biomimicry Greece Research and Innovation Center. She is in management committee, core groups, and working group leader of EU COST action on Childbirth contexts, cultures and consequences and other various projects like a centre for innovation in Health management Leeds (Enhancing the role of medicine in the management of European Health systems).
She joins membership of the Higher education Academy in United Kingdom, and Greece Membership in UKCHIP (UK council for health informatics professionals) and also in global forum of my health groups. Kleopatra Alamantariotou used to work in hospitals (private and public) in Finland, UK, UAE and Greece.
Since 2011 is a member in Knowledge Management Working Group (KM WG) met at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health/Center for Communication Programs (JHU∙CCP) and health innovations. She has been involved in more than 10 European and National research projects and has published various scientific papers and 5 book chapters.
Her Research interests include health informatics, Biomimicry, e-Health , e-learning, virtual communities, innovation science and entrepreneur, innovation in health, social innovation technology , epigenetics, mobile health , knowledge transfer, midwifery normal birth and global health.
Biomimicry is an approach that seeks sustainable solutions, innovation to the challenges of human life through time-tested patterns of nature. Before all and all, Nature had achieved a balance between matter and life through trials and failures that had occurred billions of years ago human existence. The study of the nature and mechanisms, is an excellent way to find solutions to problems in all human activity. In nature, there are models and ideas that we can mimic the procedures and create new products and strategies for a better life. The Center “Biomimicry Greece research and innovation” is a modern centre that provides valuable services tailored to its needs. The Biomimicry center transfer the idea of biomimetic procedures through collaboration with 32 other Biomimicry centers and worldwide through universities, enterprises, governments and research centers. The Center undoubtedly has a competitive advantage. Ensure education, research and innovation. It provides services to enhance the understanding of the nature and function and combines art with science and technology by inventing new innovative solutions. The Biomimicry Center Design -oriented knowledge, experience and biomimetic competing programs, so we can work together with regional partners who have developed a business model by using Biomimicry through technologies inspired by the natural world. The Greek Biomimicry team is an effort of young people from different backgrounds of science and art to approach problems of societies, is a centre which unites the disciplines and sciences, in order to find innovative solutions and models from nature.
